The Teaching Time-Out — 4-Hour CE Course
$79.00
When “Time-Out” Isn’t Teaching Enough
Parents are often told to be consistent, set limits, follow through, and use consequences. But stopping unwanted behavior is only part of the task.
What does the child learn to do differently next time?
The Teaching Time-Out gives professionals a structured method for helping parents move beyond simply ending misbehavior—toward teaching accountability, problem-solving, and more appropriate behavioral responses.
What You’ll Learn
By completing The Teaching Time-Out 4-Hour CE Course, participants will learn how to move beyond simply stopping unwanted behavior and use discipline as an opportunity for behavioral learning.
You’ll learn how to:
Understand the difference between traditional time-out and the Teaching Time-Out approach
Apply the structured four-step Teaching Time-Out method
Help children take accountability for their behavior without shame or humiliation
Guide children through problem-solving and the development of more appropriate behavioral responses
Support behavioral learning while preserving the parent-child relationship
Teach parents and caregivers how to use the Teaching Time-Out consistently and effectively
Discipline Can Teach
The goal isn't simply to end a behavior. It's to help a child learn what to do differently next time.
The Teaching Time-Out gives adults a structured way to turn moments of misbehavior into opportunities for accountability, problem-solving, behavioral learning, and reconnection.
